Workshop in NYC - Selecting the best DAM for you
In a little less than a month, I'll be doing a half-day workshop in New York City as part of the annual Henry Stewart Digital Asset Management Conference. It's very deliberately called The Procurement Process: How to select the best DAM system for you. We don't believe there's one best or perfect system for everyone: in fact, the right system for you depends on your use case scenarios, requirements, and situation.
In this workshop I'll walk through what we've seen works well and not-so-well in our decade of helping clients with procurements. We'll look at the dos and don'ts of requirements gathering, vendor shortlisting, use case scenario and RFP development, scoring and evaluating, negotiating a contract, and making your final choice.
After the tutorial, there's a two-day conference that anyone interested in the science and art of managing digital media won't want to miss. I'll be giving several presentations, but I'm most looking forward to participating in the analyst panel, where DAM specialists from major analyst firms will talk about what's new and interesting in DAM - as well as the path ahead.
I hope to see you in New York!
