Debugging MOSS 2007...but not in all major languages

A recent posting on the Microsoft SharePoint Product Group's official blog provides some estimated release timeframes for SharePoint 2007 Language Packs. At least 10 official European Union languages remain unavailable, with the latest coming in June, almost 8 months after the original release. This seems like a bit of a shortcoming for Microsoft and somewhat disappointing for such a large vendor. I believe in a first-mover disadvantage for early adopters of major new releases of portal technology, but still it seems unreasonable that speakers of Russian, Greek, Turkish, and Italian languages (among others) get left out of the early bug-testing...
