New CRM Evaluation Research

Customer Relationship Management is increasingly the backbone of MarTech and digital customer engagement.  After many requests from RSG subscribers to apply our rigorous evaluation methodology to this marketplace, we decided to add a new vendor evaluation stream.

CRM Vendors Covered

In the first version will include evaluations of eight vendors:

  • Infor
  • Microsoft
  • Oracle
  • Pega
  • Salesforce
  • SAP
  • Sugar

Evaluation Criteria

We're incorporating the same detailed criteria and tough critiques you've come to expect from us. For CRM, this means evaluating vendors according to specific categories:

  1. CRM Scenarios: We rate them against 5 strategic business use cases
  2. Vertical considerations: CRM can be very industry specific
  3. Strategic considerations: Assessing 10 strategic factors, mostly about the vendor and ecosystem, which we apply in every marketplace we cover
  4. Enterprise considerations: These are factors, such as the underlying platform capabilities, that are relevant to the larger enterprise

The complete research will be available by end of June. I’ll be providing more details around how we categorized vendors in next few blog posts.
