Hannon Hill and TerminalFour - similar but different
In our recently released Web Content Management Vendor Evaluations version 20.2 we've updated our research on two interesting vendors - Hannon Hill and TerminalFour.
On the surface, they seem quite similar. Both are based in Java, both endeavor to release simple editorial UIs, and -- perhaps most importantly -- both of have established strong footholds in the Higher Education segment.
From there, the two vendors start to diverge. While Hannon Hill enjoys a strong customer base in North America; TerminalFour claims more than 65 implementations in Higher Education worldwide. As an Ireland-based vendor, it has a high concentration of customers in Europe.
At a more basic level, the two vendors have very different DNA. Hannon Hill seemingly maintains a low profile and is very selective about the features they introduce in Cascade Server. TerminalFour on the other hand has been aggressively expanding its footprint beyond its home base, and tends to couple a lot of consulting with its licenses.
