ECM Family Trees, Part 3 - Autonomy

So onto number three in our family tree mini-series, Autonomy. (The previous ones were Open Text and Documentum.)

As a Brit that lives in the US, I find Autonomy an interesting vendor to watch, they were (and remain) the UK's tech darling, and have grown to be a major force in the industry.  Though best known for their IDOL platform (evaluated in our Enterprise Search stream), as you can see here, Autonomy has made a lot of specialist acquisitions in the past 10 years to build out its portfolio.
