Google takes page from Microsoft playbook

I was recently invited to participate in some early testing of Google's Wave product. As readers know, Wave has been described as a "SharePoint killer." It seems that Google has taken a page from Microsoft's playbook in trying to "encourage" usage of Chrome, Firefox and Safari, while making use of IE challenging without "plug-ins." Perhaps Google's goal is to be more like Microsoft, not supplant them in the collaboration space.

Our customers say...

"Setting aside the hype and buzzwords of social media technology, RSG offers a clear, objective and comprehensive review of software products and vendors with a specific focus on their applicability to the enterprise. Before embarking on a collaboration or social media project, this research should be any company's first investment."
