With the IBM acquisition of Coremetrics closing on August 2nd, it's time to sort out this impact for customers. Many pundits and consultants eagerly lauded the acquisition as a justification of the importance of web analytics, and as an indicator of the long-awaited integration between web analytics and business intelligence. However, much of this speculation appears premature. For Coremetics customers, the real story is quite mixed.
