MSDN has published a published a chapter on caching from Packt Publishing's Managing Websites with Microsoft Content Management Server 2002. That chapter could come in handy for MCMS developers, given some performance limitations of the current product (see a few good pointers here). Microsoft has also announced that the next version of MCMS will be released as part of Office 12, likely in late 2006, but with beta versions available to test perhaps as tantalizingly soon as the end of 2005.

"We found the Enterprise Portals Research to be extremely helpful in our efforts to implement a revamped and improved portal at our organization. Not only were the portal product evaluations impartial and thorough, but the 'Best Practices' chapter was excellent! Your research saved us a lot of time and money by consolidating a wealth of information in one spot. Worth every penny!"
