Major update to our SharePoint Evaluation research

We've just released a major update to our SharePoint evaluation research.

As always, we focus on what you can purchase and deploy today, so we take a hard look at SharePoint 2010 from the vantage point of several different use-cases, including Portal, Web Content Management, Search, DAM, Document & Records Management, and of course, Social Collaboration.

We've also added a couple of brand new chapters:

  1. A guide to what's changed from 2007 to 2010 and from 2010 to 2013. We know that many of you are trying to figure out when and whether to upgrade. This guide helps you understand the key differences among the versions.
  2. A close and critical look at SharePoint in the Cloud -- specifically the SharePoint Online portion of Microsoft's Office 365. SharePoint Online shares most of the strengths and weaknesses of its on-premise sibling, but also brings some unique quirks and challenges of its own. Several of those will persist in 2013.

Our SharePoint stream subscribers can download the updated chapters right away. If you are not a subscriber, feel free to take a sneak peek at an excerpt.
