ECM Family Trees, Part 3 - Autonomy
Added By Alan Pelz-Sharpe at 10-May-2010 | Twitter: @alanpelzsharpe |
So onto number three in our family tree mini-series, Autonomy. (The previous ones were Open Text and Documentum.)
As a Brit that lives in the US, I find Autonomy an interesting vendor to watch, they were (and remain) the UK's tech darling, and have grown to be a major force in the industry. Though best known for their IDOL platform (evaluated in our Enterprise Search stream), as you can see here, Autonomy has made a lot of specialist acquisitions in the past 10 years to build out its portfolio.

As in Part 1 (Open Text) and Part 2 (EMC Documentum), let me know about any omissions or errors so that I can correct them.
