As part of our SharePoint Across the Enterprise research stream, we evaluate about thirty Microsoft partner offerings across eight categories. This week we released the first in a series of updated assessments that take into account 2010-related developments. In this case we re-evaluated SharePoint partner solutions for search.

This update assesses three search vendors that offer SharePoint-oriented solutions. It describes why you might want to explore an alternative to SharePoint Search and FAST (including their 2010 editions), and evaluates products from:

  • Coveo
  • SurfRay
