One shortcoming of CMS products in general (and hosted solutions in particular) is that they often provide WYSIWYG browser-based editing for only one platform. Atomz just became one of the few vendors that offers a Java applet for Mac users as well as an ActiveX control for the Windows majority. The applet only works on Mac OS X v10.2+ with IE5.2+ (sorry, no Mozilla). So Atomz offers no hope for those trying to avoid Microsoft completely, but we think this approach actually makes sense. Truly cross-browser applets tend to get buggier as they are stretched to support new versions...
