"Lets [sic] start the new year on the right foot," begins an e-mail message from Day's UK channel manager. The three-sentence invitation to a partner meeting at an unnamed location contains no less than 10 spelling errors, which might not be so bad, except that it was cc'd -- in the clear -- to a total of 553 recipients, including a who's who of UK integrators and, oddly, several Day competitors. Day says the note was never intended to go out and resulted from the premature marriage of a draft message with a contacts database due to a server hiccup. To be fair, we are sometimes poor spellers too and typically find Day to be a smart company, working hard to conserve its dwindling cash -- and so can only hope this snafu was not a precursor of things to come...
