It's an old story now: a portal without content management is like a house on a very loose foundation. Plumtree clients wanting to shore up their foundations by integrating content management traditionally faced a potentially bewildering choice of enterprise CMS vendors with custom Plumtree gadgets. Now Plumtree is offering a simpler (and likely cheaper) alternative through its own tightly bundled CMS offering, the result of an earlier acquisition of Hablador. The product is pretty plain vanilla, and we would counsel thinking carefully before buying a CMS that is tightly integrated with only one portal product. But for some Plumtree clients -- especially the smaller ones -- it will become an obvious choice...
