As industry analysts, we are constantly traveling to various conferences to teach and learn from others. In addition to meeting potential new readers, one of the real benefits of attendance is meeting up with our current readers. It's great to hear how you have used our research in your enterprises and your feedback directly impacts the regular updates of our reports.
However, we wanted a way where we could do more than a list of events or a formal blog posting. Surely social software has something to help us keep our readers informed of where we'll be what we are learning.
So, we're joining the global Twitter community. We've set up a Twitter account @cmswatch. If you're interested in staying up-to-date with what we're up to, where we'll be traveling, and what we're seeing at events around the world, feel free to follow us. Also, as always, we'd love to hear from you too. If you are currently Twittering about anything related to content technologies, let us know so we can follow you.
This is a bit of an experiment because we don't know exactly how this will evolve, but at a minimum we hope this will facilitate:
So let's see what happens: follow us, let us follow you, and let us know what you think! We're open to any suggestions: just send us a public (@cmswatch) or private (d cmswatch) message.
My colleague, Tony Byrne, will be speaking on evaluating social software tools at the Enterprise 2.0 conference this week in Boston -- a perfect time and conference for us to start Twittering!
