What Real Independence means. Find Out

We recently pointed out that UK-based Web CMS vendor Mediasurface was being courted, and now the suitor has revealed themselves: Alterian.
Alterian is a marketing automation software vendor (also UK-based) that's twice the size of Mediasurface (revenue-wise) but much more profitable. Both companies will talk about "synergies," but I'll remain a bit skeptical. Yes, many website scenarios are marketing-oriented, but not as many as analysts often think. "Time and time again, when I seek to discover what influenced the success of a DAM or MAM project, I hear a common phrase: "we worked with the Real Story Group." I know why - their unending interviews, their in-depth attention to what works and what doesn't, and their careful, ceaseless research - means that when a company turns to them, that the words "best practice" really mean that!"
