After a successful inaugural conference, a group of open-source CMS enthusiasts are organizing a second set of seminars in San Francisco, USA for this September. Here's an interesting question: will the ethos of cooperation that drives success within particular projects carry over to sharing information across projects, many of which are sponsored by for-profit integration firms? In any case, the conference strikes us as patently a useful exercise. Hopefully, there will be marketing and user interface/usability specialists there, and not just engineers; the problem with open-source CMS packages is a dearth of user-friendlinesss...
